Thank you to the soldier
that's gone away to war.
Thank you to the soldier
aware of what this fight is for
Thank you to the soldier
that serves beneath our flag.
Thank you to the soldier--
that posses courage I don't have.
Thank you to the soldier;
a life forever changed.
Thank you to the soldier
who can't come home the same.
Thank you to the soldier
that never saw the battlefield.
Thank you to the soldier;
a sacrifice forever real.
Thank you to the solider
that never made it home.
Thank you to the soldier...
who knows there's more to come.
that's gone away to war.
Thank you to the soldier
aware of what this fight is for
Thank you to the soldier
that serves beneath our flag.
Thank you to the soldier--
that posses courage I don't have.
Thank you to the soldier;

Thank you to the soldier

Thank you to the soldier

Thank you to the soldier;

Thank you to the soldier...

Dear Poetry,
I am trying to cover my sadness with words.
Tape them against my scars
& wear them like worthy paper cuts.
My tears are alcohol swabs, burning & cleansing
wounds of my own making. Sometimes,
I wish I could hide behind them forever.
But not even this journeyed flesh can stand
castle strong against speechless ink stains.
I know the code. This body does not deserve
a warriors death. & poetry, you're a monster
a creative monster, but evil nonetheless.
I wish to string you into knots, force feed you
down the throats of others. De-format you
& leave you empty; freeversed-
to hang loosely along the heartstrings
of strangers

They Watch Us
They Watch Us:
Perched high upon the mountains;
With wings as black as night.
They watch us in the hour,
Before darkness turns to light.
I've seen them in my visions;
In dreams they come and go,
But the things they seem to tell me
I guess nobody should know...
I've seen children that are buried,
Beneath a frozen lake.
A maiden sits there weeping;
Her heart is soon to break.
The crows flutter downward,
A noose amongst their hands.
They take the maiden away,
To a dark and distant land.
And even if I follow -
Even if I try...
I'll simply end up buried,
Where the frozen children lie.

R.I.P Words
Do you know what it feels like?
To feel something, but...
be unable to express what it is;
to be silent;
to fight it alone.
I know how much it hurts,
but I don't know how to show it.
Poetry used to be my refuge,
a place where I could be alone -
express all my emotions,
without being judged.
I'm losing it.
I can't connect to poetry.
Everything sounds so stupid...
Everything I write sounds stupid.
I have to erase all my feelings,
because they don't sound right.
The words aren't real.
They don't show what I feel
And maybe this will be the last.
Maybe I'm gone:
lost of all emotions.
I'm truly alone...
I used to have poetry.
Now I have not
